PM on Sue Gray Report: ‘Appalled’, but takes ‘full responsibility’
The much-awaited Sue Gray report on Downing Street parties was released just ahead of prime minister’s questions.
Prime minister Boris Johnson made a statement on the report following PMQs.
Johnson took “full responsibility”, telling the House of Commons that Downing Street staff were “working hard”, but that he was “appalled” by the incidents of which he told the House he had “no knowledge”.
The PM told the House that he attended parties to boost “morale” as part of his role as a leader.
