‘A resolution could’ve been reached sooner if the government had been willing to talk earlier’ says CEO of the NHS Confederation
During a Health and Social Care Select Committee, Chair Steve Brine questioned the CEO of the NHS Confederation.
The NHS Confederation is an independent membership organisation, there to support those who work in the NHS.
Brine quotes CEO Matthew Taylor, who previously said he was surprised at how long these strikes had gone on. He asks, ‘How long did you expect them to last then?’.
Taylor says he didn’t have an exact time in mind, but that a solution could’ve and would’ve been reached much sooner had the government been willing to engage in talks sooner than they did.
