Social care roadmap shows how better pay and a workforce plan will mean better care

Commenting on Time to act: a roadmap to reform care and support in England, published today (Wednesday) by the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services, TUC General Secretary Paul Nowak said:

“Most families need to rely on care services at some point for their loved ones. And we all want to know they will be well cared for. But that’s not possible when care services are chronically under-staffed, and the workforce is on dreadful pay and conditions. This is purely a political failure, and the government must respond to the calls in this report for better pay and a workforce plan.”
