Centre for London Inflation Comment
Responding to the latest inflation statistics, Claire Harding, Research Director, Centre for London said:
“Rates falling will reassure policymakers that economic pressures are starting to ease, but for now Londoners are still dealing with high prices and strained budgets.
Those on lower incomes are caught between high food prices and skyrocketing rents, and mostly aren’t seeing much benefit from falling fuel prices as many don’t have cars.
The Government’s strategy to get growth back on track must address the challenges holding Londoners back from getting the best for their families and their city.”
