Public investment in warm homes can be source of well-paid work, says TUC

Commenting on analysis published today (Friday) showing that Labour’s Warm Homes Plan would cut energy bills by £500 for millions of families TUC General Secretary Paul Nowak said:

“A home improvements programme to use energy better will not only cut bills for families. It can also be a source of well-paid work throughout the UK.

“A good way to fund it is by extending the windfall tax on oil and gas giants. They have been treating families like cash machines and they ought to give more back.”
