Make UK comment – Help to Grow Digital Scheme

Commenting on the expansion of the Help to Grow Digital scheme, Fhaheen Khan, Senior Economist at Make UK said:

“Today’s changes to the Help to Grow Digital scheme shows that Government is willing to listen and work with industry to improve existing solutions for digital adoption. By widening the scheme to allow access to the smallest businesses we can help bring digital solutions to almost all manufacturers. Additionally, many manufacturers make use of e-commerce to grow their sales, so the inclusion of this software is welcoming for our members. However, there is still a gap to close if we are to make this scheme a true benefit to manufacturers by expanding out to more bespoke solutions, such as supply-chain management software.

“The inclusion of one-to-one support for SMEs is also a great addition to maximise the scheme’s benefit. Its execution is of the upmost importance, and we look forward to working with Government to ensuring its success.”
