Cystic Fibrosis Trust responds to prescription charge freeze
Clare Corbett, Direct of External Affairs at Cystic Fibrosis Trust, said:
“Although freezing prescription charges is a positive step to help people manage the rising cost of living in England, it doesn’t go far enough. Our data shows 87% of people with cystic fibrosis are worried about the cost of living, and 35% worry about money every day. People with long term conditions like cystic fibrosis should not have the extra financial burden of paying for their medicines. As part of the Prescription Charges Coalition, we urgently call for a review of the outdated exemption list.”
