Shell puts Cambo oilfield back on the table

‘’Shell just said the quiet part out loud – a project that just three months ago was considered unviable and had been scrapped is now back on the table because of Putin’s barbaric slaughter of thousands of innocent Ukrainians.

The fossil fuel industry has seen no line it won’t cross. From profiting from the destruction of our planet to cashing in on the murder of innocent people, they have shown time and again that their only interest is making money.

Shell could have seen this crisis as a moment to dramatically increase investment in renewable technologies and end our energy dependence on authoritarian regimes. Instead, they are doubling down on the destructive fuels that will continue to cause death and devastation. Governments need to act, because these corporations clearly will not’’.
