The British Property Federation (BPF) represents the UK real estate sector, an industry that invests in communities across the UK, providing a wide range of high-quality homes, workplaces, health, education, and warehousing facilities that people and businesses rely on every day.

We employ more than 2.3 million people of all ages across a huge range of roles. That’s one in every 13 jobs in the UK.

We are a non-party political organisation and our membership spans a broad range of owners, managers and developers of real estate, as well as the professional services that support them. Their investments drive the UK’s economic success and by working with policy makers we aim to ensure the right regulatory environment to deliver the essential infrastructure and create great places where people can live, work and relax.

By building and managing more urgently needed homes, we are raising standards and choice across the industry.

With buildings accounting for around 30% of all UK greenhouse gas emissions, we have an essential part to play in helping Britain to achieve its target of a net zero economy by 2050. That’s why we are supporting our industry to work together to speed up efforts to tackle climate change.
