Scully announces interim compensation for PO Horizon scandal 

In a statement to the House of Commons, BEIS minister Paul Scully announced “interim payments of compensation” to postmasters impacted by the post office Horizon scandal.

Scully told the House that he has been “moved” by the impacts of these events on paymasters.

Shadow minister Chi Onwurah welcomed the announcement, praising the minister for making “real progress” while “successive governments have sat upon the scandal”.
