Texts reveal Brooks’ tears for Dave

Rebekah Brooks told David Cameron his 2009 party conference speech brought her to tears twice, a newly published text message has revealed.
Fresh details of the former News International boss' text messages with the Conservative party leader are once again leaving David Cameron red-faced at the extent of his links with Rupert Murdoch's main lieutenant in British media.
The group of texts and emails between the pair have been handed to Lord Justice Leveson's inquiry, which is expected to publish its report on the media later this month.
It includes one text from Cameron to Brooks in which he expresses gratitude for being allowed to ride one of the horses owned by Brooks and her husband, the PM's schoolfriend Charlie Brooks.
The message, also sent in October 2009, stated: "The horse CB put me on. Fast unpredictable and hard to control but fun DC."
Campaigning Labour backbencher Chris Bryant, who has been pressing the PM about the texts in the Commons, tweeted: "These new texts are the tip of an iceberg." He has written to Leveson requesting that all texts and emails between the pair should be published.
He had earlier warned Cameron: "When the truth comes out, you won't be smiling."
This is not the first time the prime minister has faced embarrassment from his links with Brooks. She revealed in her evidence to the Leveson inquiry earlier this year that he had signed texts 'LOL', thinking he was saying 'lots of love' rather than 'laugh out loud'.
Further revelations about the pair's relationship are expected when Leveson publishes his final report, although the inquiry's counsel Robert Jay has warned only relevant documents will be published.
