The activist who tried to push a plate full of shaving foam into the face of media mogul Rupert Murdoch has been sentenced to six weeks in prison.
Jonnie Marbles, also known as Jonathan May Bowles attacked Mr Murdoch during his appearance at the culture, media and sport committee last month.
He was fended off by a member of the public and Mr Murdoch's wife, Wendi, who delivered a quick-witted slap to Mr Marbles' face.
Marbles will serve half the sentence for common assault and pay a £250 fine and another £250 costs for violating section five of the Public Order Act.
In the aftermath of the attack, Speaker John Bercow announced an independent review into the select committee security arrangements.
