Canvassing with a difference

David Cameron was the hottest property in an art auction of party leader portraits.
London-based online art gallery, newbloodart.com, raised £360 by selling a portrait of the Conservative leader.
Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg’s picture was sold for £305 while the prime minister Gordon Brown raised only £270.
The sale prices are an equivalent reflection of the polling which puts the Tories ahead, the Lib Dems in second and Labour trailing in third.
But BNP leader Nick Griffin didn’t reach his £50 reserve, with the highest bid at just £5.
