Cameron egged in Cornwall

David Cameron retained his sense of humour after being hit by an egg thrown by a protester in Cornwall.
The incident occurred at an event in Saltash, where he had been participating in a question-and-answer session.
Mr Cameron was struck on the back of his jacket by the egg as he left. He said the egg was the “first of the campaign” and praised the protester for a “good shot”.
It comes one day after Mr Cameron’s brush with the Mirror newspaper’s chicken. Then his attempt to hug the man-sized chicken came unstuck when he accidentally knocked the chicken’s head off.
He added: “Now I know what came first – the chicken, not the egg.”
The Conservative leader was in the region, a key Tory-Lib Dem battleground, to talk about improving the reputation of politics and politicians.
