A Liberal Democrat candidate has stepped down after allegations concerning a racially abusive email.
David Jack, who was standing for the party in Stoke-on-Trent, categorically denies typing or sending the email.
“I’m not acknowledging it came from my official email address at all,” he told the BBC.

“There are specialist IT people looking into that at this moment and I await their investigations on that. But I can categorically say that I did not type or send that email.”
Mr Jack has also stepped down as the local Lib Dem chairman.
An immediate investigation has been launched.
