Bullock ends Dimbleby’s Question Time reign
By Doireann Ronayne
David Dimbleby’s 15 years of uninterrupted appearances on Question Time will be ended tonight, after the presenter was hospitalised dealing with his wife’s bullock.
The BBC stalwart was knocked out when a bullock he was loading on to a trailer reared unexpectedly.
He suffered a brief concussion and required stitches to a cut on his head.
“Trust my wife’s bullock to take me out,” he said.
“I’ll be giving bullocks a wide berth in future.”
It is the first time in 15 years the BBC presenter will not be chairing this week’s Question Time, with John Humphrys stepping into his shoes for one week only.
Mr Dimbleby will remain in hospital overnight for observation and is reported to be recovering well following the accident.
