Griffin: I could get shot tonight

BNP leader Nick Griffin has admitted his biggest concern about tonight’s Question Time is that he might be assassinated.
The far-right leader made the comments in a vitriolic interview with the Times.
Asked what his greatest worry about the event was, Mr Griffin said :”That I might get shot on the way in”.

He also celebrated the publicity the controversy around his appearance has provided.
“The huge furore that the political class has created around it clearly gives us a whole new level of public recognition,” he said.
“Thank you, Auntie,” he told the BBC.
Security for Mr Griffin has been a cause of worry in the lead-up to tonight’s event. The police said that once inside the building Mr griffin is the BBC’s responsibility but the leader made complaints about not being designated a police liaison for the evening.
