Griffin pelted with eggs

BNP leader Nick Griffin has been forced to abandon a press conference outside Downing Street after being pelted with eggs.
Anti-fascist demonstrators managed to disrupt the event this afternoon, and prevent a triumphant public announcement by the new North-west MEP.
Mr Griffin was elected on Sunday night along with another MEP for Yorkshire and Humber.
The party did not experience a substantial increase in its vote, but a poor showing among the other parties allowed them in through the back door.
