Footballer Gary Neville and Little Britain star Matt Lucas have joined forces with Gordon Brown to urge voters to reject the British National party (BNP).
In a letter published in today’s Guardian, Mr Brown said voting for the BNP “is a vote against everything that makes this country great”.

The letter continues: “The British National party and its allies are a threat to everything that makes us proud of this country we love. The BNP is working hard to conceal its extremism because it knows that people in Britain totally reject the politics of racism and hatred.”
The letter highlights several extreme BNP policies, including a promise in the party’s 2001 manifesto to outlaw mixed-race relationships and throw out any black people from the country if they commit a crime, even if they were born in the UK.
