Queens Speech 2008: Employment

Employment reform will feature in the government’s legislative agenda for the new year, the Queen announced today during her annual speech.

The bill would introduce flexitime for parents and workers would be offered workplace training initiatives.

Other reforms include a crack down on people receiving unemployment benefits by forcing them to search for jobs or risk losing the payments.
