SNP recruits Connery for election broadcast
Former James Bond star Sean Connery is to provide the voice-over for the Scottish National Party’s election broadcasts.
Sir Sean is the most high profile SNP supporter – even though he no longer lives in Scotland.
Aired for the first time tonight, the broadcast will show Connery asking: “What is it about Scotland that matters to you?”.
SNP Leader Alex Salmond said Scotland mattered to all Scots – “But it doesn’t matter to the London parties. In this election, they are not even talking about Scotland.”
Connery will end the broadcast concluding: “if Scotland does matter to you, then make it matter in May”.
