Date set for tsunami memorial service

A national memorial service for UK victims of the Asian tsunami will be held on May 11 at St Paul’s Cathedral.

The Government says that as well as remembering UK victims the service will also recognise the suffering of the countries involved and the “overwhelming” humanitarian response.

Invitations will be sent out to family members shortly as well as UK community representatives of the countries affected, faith communities and relief agencies involved.
