Call for general election monitors
Democratic reform campaign group Charter88 is on the look out for volunteers to monitor political marketing in the run-up to the general election.
It is looking for volunteers across a range of constituencies to collect all of the campaign material they receive over the four-week campaigning period and log the level of personal contact with the political parties.
The call is part of a joint project with the New Politics Network, the Joseph Rowntree Reform Trust and researchers at Brunel University, to look at the parties’ campaigning techniques, analyse the language used and how issues such as asylum and immigration are dealt with.
