Israel tears down 120 Palestinian stalls
Israeli troops pulverised 120 Palestinian stores near the Erez crossing between Gaza and Israel, according to security officials.
The action came after a secret tunnel was unearthed on the Gaza Strip.
It was reportedly used by two Palestinian militants, belonging to the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, a faction of Palestinian President Yasser Arafat’s Fatah movement, to kill a soldier.
Witnesses said two army bulldozers and four tanks ploughed through buildings leading up to Erez.

Shopkeepers were given summary notice to evacuate.
The Israeli army said the stores had hidden a 180-foot tunnel.
