Four die in ‘devastating’ house fire
Three young children and an adult died in a house fire in Manchester last night, according to the Fire Brigade.
A spokesman for the fire service said the incident occurred in a terraced house in Will Griffiths Walk, Beswick, Manchester.
A total of four fire engines were deployed after a telephone call for help was made at 18:30 GMT.
A spokesman said: “We had 20 firefighters at the scene, and eight of them wearing breathing apparatus went into the building where they found four bodies on the first floor.”

The Fire Brigade spokesman has yet to find the cause of the blaze though a full investigation is already underway.
A boy who fled the house before firefighters arrived is believed to be well after receiving treatment in hospital for smoke inhalation.
Two boys and a girl – all under the age of six – and a woman are believed to have died in the blaze.
