“Excess” brothers tipped for Turner Prize
The Saatchi-backed Chapman brothers are odds on to win the Turner Prize this evening.
Brit-art iconoclasts Dinos and Jake are the bookies favourite to take home the notorious GBP20,000 award.
The maveric artists face a strong challenge from “cross-dressing potter” Grayson Perry and the Irish video artist Willie Doherty.
Willie Doherty has produced “Re-Run”, a video showing a man running across the Craigavon Bridge in the deeply divided city of Londonderry.

The Chapmans have put on a bronze cast of two inflatable dolls for their Turner Exhibition at the Tate Britain gallery.
The Chapmans caused a storm with their “excessive” graphic depiction of oral sex.
Their display entitled “Death” is described as “a life-size bronze cast of two inflatable sex dolls engaged in fellatio.”
Their exhibit carries the public health warning “This is not recommended for children under 16.”
The brothers are 6/4 favourites to win the prize.
The official announcement will be made live on Channel 4 at 20:00GMT this evening.
