Women go gaga for “sex god” Chancellor
Chancellor of the Exchequer Gordon Brown has been voted one of Britain’s sexiest men.
Mr Brown featured among Johnny Depp, George Clooney, Jarvis Cocker, Jeremy Paxman and the Dalai Lama in the top 25 sexy men, in the readership survey undertaken by the Erotic Review.
Erotic Review editor Rowan Pelling said: “Gordon Brown represents the scheming anti-hero women find so attractive. They don’t want bland hero figures like Blair – Brown’s brooding malcontent is much sexier.”
Mr Pelling said the magazine’s over 30s readership did not find England football captain David Beckham and other young icons sexy because “they’re not into the pretty boy thing.”
Mr Brown’s “brooding” demeanour hit the spot among readers.
And current hero Jonny Wilkinson was perfect. “He is intelligent, has beautiful manners and is fantastically good at what he does. He’s a strong but sensitive man-mountain with a brain – that’s sexy.”
Prime Minister Tony Blair failed to appear in the list.
