Creche for men offers escape from shopping hell
Saturday shopping mimics weekday school-run as German women drop off their husbands at so-called kindergartens
Women in Hamburg, Germany, have finally given up the ghost that shopping with their partners is fun and relaxing.
Instead they are dropping-off their hubbies at M?nnergarten, an experimental “kindergarten for men.”
Instead of traipsing around with their other half, bemoaning the fact they are missing the football, for 10 euros men at the Nox Bar in downturn Hamburg are given a name tag, beer, lunch, TV sports, and some male camaraderie.
Men have the option of playing board games, watching TV or just relaxing on big couches with a selection of men’s magazines to choose from.
Both men and women are proclaiming it a godsend.
