Clocks to go back tonight
Safety campaigners are calling on the Government to retain summertime hours throughout the year.
The perennial call comes as British Summer Time ends tonight.
Clocks should be put back an hour at 01:00BST, from whence Greenwich Mean Time resumes.
Campaigners at The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents say retaining summertime hours would save around 450 deaths and serious injuries per year.
All-year summertime was tested between 1968 to 1971. The trial found 2,500 fewer deaths and serious injuries for each year of the experiment.
But despite the results, MPs voted against change.
