Baby killed in street stabbing
A 10-month-old baby was killed on Tuesday in Carlisle.
The child died after he was stabbed in the neck in a shop in Scotch Street.
A spokesman for Cumbria police said a 20-year-old woman suffered minor injuries in the attack, which occurred at around 11:15 BST.
The incident is not believed to be a random attack.


A 39-year-old man from Carlisle has been arrested in connection with the incident.
The police spokesman said: “The child had sustained a wound to its neck. He was taken to hospital where he was certified dead.”
Floral tributes have been left outside the bakery.
