Bin Laden hunted in Pakistan
Osama bin Laden, leader of the terror organisation Al-Qaeda could be hiding in a remote area of Pakistan, according to US intelligence reports.
There was a “strong possibility” that the alleged mastermind behind the September 11 atrocities was in Pakistan, according to US ambassador Nancy Powell.
Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf has also confirmed that bin Laden could be hiding along the mountainous Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
The news comes after US forces killed up to 50 Taliban fighters in a bombing raid in south eastern Afghanistan two days ago.
Ms Powell vowed the US would continue the war against the “scourge of terror” and would maintain its collaboration with Pakistan.
