Blair meets with Chinese leaders
As the controversy over Dr David Kelly’s death rages on in England Tony Blair has met with Chinese leaders in Beijing today.
The Prime Minister spoke with both President Hu Jintao and Premier Wen Jiabao on the fourth step of his world tour that began in Washington last week.
One of the major issues concerning the leaders has been the North Korean nuclear weapons programme and Mr Blair is expected to focus on this topic in a press conference later today.
Talks between North Korea and Washington have reached deadlock and China is anxious to become involved although Korea would like them to remain bilateral.
Later today the Prime Minister will fly onto Hong Kong for the last leg of his journey where he will give a speech to the British Chamber of Commerce.
