Bomb planted in Italian plane
Reports are coming in that a device, thought to contain explosives, has been found onboard a passenger aircraft at an airport in Italy.
According to Ancona police the device, reportedly disguised as a cigarette pack, was found hidden in a life jacket under a seat on an Alitalia plane, which had flown into Ancona from Rome and was scheduled to make a return trip.
‘There was an anonymous call that the police received. After that, all alarms went off,’ a fire department official at Ancona’s Falconara airport said.
The device was safely removed and later detonated, a fire official said.

Ancona police said they received an anonymous tip off shortly after 2:30 p.m., calling on them to check the plane.
