Starmer criticised the government’s handling of the lockdown crimes of “online fraud and throwing parties”, both of which “have gone through the roof” and the cabinet have “turned a blind eye”.
The leader of the opposition then turned to the new energy bill scheme, describing it as “a con”. Starmer told Johnson that he needed to “stand up to his chancellor”.
