GMB Union: Cameron must stop his “Marie Antoinette impression”

Paul Kenny, General Secretary of the GMB union comments on the growth downgrade:

"These figures confirm that the recovery that was underway from the banker’s recession stalled as a direct result of slamming on the spending brakes.

"The Marie Antoinette impression from them has got to stop. An emergency budget for investment in jobs is overdue.

"The priority is for investment to create jobs and boost confidence rather than cuts in the tax rate for the super-rich."
