Hancock: Labour have left our children in debt

Conservative MP Matthew Hancock responds to Ed Miliband’s speech on the faltering ‘promise of Britain’:

“Ed Miliband talks about leaving something better for the next generation but his plans would burden our children with over £22,000 of debt.

“If the ‘Promise of Britain’ is passing greater prosperity to the next generation, then the ‘Promise of Labour’ is passing more debt to the next generation.

“What’s fair about leaving our children with debt, Mr Miliband?”
