Sudan air crash kills 115
A passenger plane has crashed shortly after taking off from Port Sudan airport killing over one hundred people.
It is reported that 104 passengers and 11 crew members were killed when the Boeing 737 came down just three miles after taking off.
Sudanese Government spokesman Salah Ali Ahmed announced that only one person, a child, had survived the crash. He confirmed on the country’s national television that that the child was in hospital and in a good condition.
The Boeing 737 was on an internal flight from Port Sudan airport on the Red Sea to the country’s capital, Khartoum.
Investigators are on their way to the crash site.
It is not known whether any foreigners were on the flight.
