Ten Algerian men held in dawn terror swoop
Ten Algerian men have been arrested in an anti-terror swoop on several addresses in London and Manchester.
The suspects, all men believed to be in their 30s, are being held under anti-terror laws, police said.
Six were arrested in London and four in Manchester in co-ordinated dawn raids.
A police spokesman said: “This operation is part of our extensive and on-going inquiries into terrorism.”
The six men in London are being questioned at a central London police station and are being held on suspicion of being involved in the “commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism”.
A 32-year-old man arrested in Manchester will be transferred to London where officers from the anti-terrorist branch will question him, Scotland Yard revealed.
Police are now searching all the suspects’ homes.
