Landlady charged over pub fire
A landlady has been charged with arson and three counts of manslaughter over a fire at her own pub.
Thirty-one year old Kate Knight was charged over the fire at Prince of Wales pub in Stoke Newington, North London, before being released on bail.
The blaze on the 27th of July killed her two sons, aged five and ten, and a Mr Springer, though three other people sleeping in the building survived.
Mr Springer died of burns and other injuries several weeks after jumping from the burning building when he tried to save the boys, who tragically died in hospital.
One of the survivors remains seriously ill.
Kate Knight was charged with the offences after her arrest in Chelmsford this week, and will appear before Thames Magistrates Court today.
