Suicide bomber strikes Haifa restaurant

A Palestinian suicide bomber has blown himself up in a crowded restaurant in the northern Israeli port city of Haifa.

The explosion on Saturday afternoon at the restaurant called Maxim killed at least 18 people and injured dozens more in what police are describing as a terrorist attack.

Five children were among the dead. Several more are seriously injured.

The attack comes after Islamic terrorist group Hamas said yesterday that the controversial Israeli security fence in the West Bank would not prevent further “strikes of resistance” against the “Zionist entity.”
