Jailed Fergie dresser in intensive care
The Duchess of York’s former dresser, Jane Andrews, has been rushed to hospital in Southend, suspected of taking an overdose.
The 36-year-old was jailed for life in 2001 for the murder of her boyfriend Thomas Cressman. An appeal against her sentence was rejected last month.
She is reported to be on life support in intensive care after being discovered in her cell at around 09:00 GMT on Monday.
Andrews is serving her sentence at Bullwood Hall prison in Hockley, Essex. She has been taken to Southend General Hospital, where her parents and youngest brother are reportedly at her bedside.
Prison authorities are now investigating the incident.
The former Royal aide appealed her murder conviction on the grounds that she was suffering from a personality disorder as a result of alleged sexual abuse as a child.
