Welsh firm poised for business blastoff
A small firm in North Wales is close to penning a major contract with the US space agency Nasa.
Caernarfon-based PPM Technology Ltd has been approached by Nasa to supply safety devices.
Should the deal be secured, astronauts on board the International Space Station will use hand-held and fixed monitoring meters to check for dangerous levels of toxic gasses.
John Jones, managing director of the company, said the completion date was “imminent.”
“You can’t get any bigger or more exclusive a customer than Nasa and the International Space Station, and we were so pleased when we first got the enquiry from them.
“We do sell all over the world and we hope as a result of the deal, it will improve our marketing and sales,” he said.
PPM Technology makes equipment to detect small levels of formaldehyde and other toxic gases in buildings.
