Couple pull pints after scooping Lotto jackpot
A couple who won the Christmas Lotto Extra jackpot had to celebrate their good fortune by pulling pints behind a bar on New Years Eve.
Alexandra Dyer and husband John found out they had won GBP6million on New Year’s Eve morning – four days after the draw had taken place.
But the Knaresborough Working Men’s Club owners in North Yorkshire were forced to work, as it was too late to get the shifts covered.
Totally shocked Alex said she went white as a sheet on finding out the news, and couldn’t stop shaking.
But she said knowing she had scooped the lolly was a “really great feeling.”
The couple have since given up their jobs and will now spend some of their cash taking Alex’s grandmother to Norway.
Their winning Lotto Extra numbers on Saturday, December 27 were 3, 6, 36, 40, 48 and 49.
