Colleges demand more funding
Lecturers from further education (FE) colleges are lobbying MPs today to demand that they receive the same funding as school sixth forms.
At present, classes in FE colleges receive ten per cent less funding per pupil than sixth forms in secondary schools.
John Brennan, chief executive of the Association of Colleges (AoC), added: “Colleges from across the country demand fair funding for older and younger students alike.”
