Questions asked of Labour’s answers
The Labour Party website was unable to answer 43 per cent of common voter questions, according to new research.
A survey by Rainier puts Labour third behind both the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats, whose websites could not answer 20 per cent and 17 per cent of questions respectively. Plaid Cymru’s website came bottom, having failed to answer 93 per cent of questions; coming below even the Monster Raving Loony Party.
Researchers checked party websites for answers on key election issues including health, education, law and order, immigration and business.
Labour fared little better on an assessment of individual candidate websites, with no Labour candidate scoring above 50 per cent. Five Liberal Democrats, including Charles Kennedy scored 100 per cent, along with Conservative candidate Anne Widdecombe.
Rainier PR surveyed 10 party and 30 randomly selected candidate web sites during the week of 18 April.
