Brazilian officials to leave UK
Brazilian officials who came to the UK to investigate the shooting of 27-year old Jean Charles de Menezes are due to leave today.
During their four-day visit they met representatives from Scotland Yard and the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC), as well as lawyers for the de Menezes family.
The officials have said they did not believe there was any cover-up over the shooting of the Brazilian electrician on July 22nd at Stockwell underground station in London.
But they did suggest “someone should be considered guilty” for the killing.
The Brazilian government will hear findings from the four -Wagner Goncalves, Manoel Gomes Pereira and Marcio Garcia.
Mr de Menezes was mistaken for a suicide bomber and shot by armed police, the day after four bombers failed to detonate devices across London.
