By politics.co.uk staff
A round of new expenses revelations has hit the press, with several high profile politicians in the spotlight.
Senior Liberal Democrat MP and science spokesman Evan Harris is alleged to have spent thousands of public money on his second home before selling it to his parents.
Gwyn Prosser, Labour MP for Dover, is alleged to have used public money to pay his brother to conduct work on his London flat, despite the fact he lived 200 miles away.
There are also reports he claimed on another London home, despite it not being his second home for three years.
His Labour colleague Frank Cook has been forced to apologise after it transpired he tried to claim back a £5 donation to a battle of Britain memorial service.
“I feel such a stupid t**t,” he said.
“I feel silly for allowing this impression to go to the electorate.”
Mr Cook, 73, will be standing down at the next election.
