Big win for the SNP in Scotland
By Ian Dunt
The Scottish National party (SNP) have scored a huge win in Scotland’s European elections in a result which further damages Labour.
Labour did, however, manage to raise its share of the vote from that in other parts of the country, and keep two MEPs.
The SNP now have two MEPs heading to Brussels, as does Labour in Scotland. The Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats both secured one MEP in the Scottish region.
