Cameron foreign policy
David Cameron is earning a reputation for his blunt, straight-talking approach to foreign affairs.
Pakistani intelligence officials have cancelled a trip to the UK in the wake of a speech in India, in which he accused the country of “looking both ways” when it came to terrorism.
During the Turkey leg of his trip to India, Mr Cameron described Gaza as a “prison camp”, raising the concerns of Israeli officials.
The new prime minister also admitted that Britain was a “junior partner” to the US on a trip to Washington recently.
His most recent comments on Pakistani counter-terrorism efforts earned him a damning assessment from shadow foreign secretary David Miliband, who compared the PM to “a cuttlefish squirting out ink”.
