David Cameron has given Whoopi Goldberg a whirlwind tour of No 10 after she expressed an interest in Benjamin Disraeli.
The former prime minister is one of the Hollywood actress’ favourite political figures and she mentioned him to David Cameron when showing up unexpectedly at his official residence.
“This is something you dream about when you see it and you hear about 10 Downing [Street],” she told Sky News.
“To go in was quite spectacular. I said, ‘Is there anything of Disraeli here?’ and he Cameron was like, ‘Come on!’ So I got a tour. It was really great, really nice.”
The actor is currently in London performing in a stage version of her 1992 film Sister Act.
